Behavioral Health Technician (BHT)
Behavioral Health Technician Minimum Requirements:

At least 21 years of age
-
Possess a valid Arizona Drivers License
-
Have a minimum of one year’s experience working with children
-
Have at the minimum a high school diploma or GED
-
Be able to obtain a valid Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card through the Department of Public Safety
-
Possess an operational vehicle
-
Possess basic computer skills
-
Be First Aid and CPR certified
Behavioral Health Technician (BHT) Job Description:
The BHT’s primary responsibility is to provide support and care for the children living in the home and to maintain a safe environment. BHT’s assist the children by directing interactions, including but not limited to behavioral management, and by facilitating therapeutic recreational and social life skills. Additional Responsibilities, include but are not limited to:

Complete ongoing training, to include CPR, First Aid, and JIREH.

Participate in team meetings and agency wide trainings.

Assist with client admission and discharge.

Follow an assigned schedule for daily activities.

Oversee clients’ completion of daily living tasks.

Follow and adhere to house rules, norms, expectations and schedules to provide consistency.

Dispense medications according to the six rights of medication administration.
-
Complete daily progress notes and documentation.
-
Safely and appropriately utilize safe physical management techniques if necessary.
-
Maintain all DCS licensing standards.
